What an amazing holiday weekend for Philly Sports!

“Philly Got Game 2023
HS Holiday Tourney” was definitely exciting and successful!
Shout out to all the HS Teams that participated:

Boys: Overbrook, Germantown Friends, Parkway CC and Franklintowne Charter

Girls: Freire Charter, Executive Education Charter, Dobbins and Palumbo Academy

Overbrook HS repeated as the Boys Division Champs

Palumbo surprised everyone as the “Cinderella Team” beat a very tough and highly favored Friere Charter team in the Girls Division.

All in all, it was good to see teams compete and leave it all on the floor. What an amazing event!

Shout out to my partner in crime Omar Richburg founder of IHeart Hoops for holding me down and accountable. We partnered up right after the pandemic hit and we havent skipped a beat. We don’t always agree but we respectfully agree on what’s best for “Philly Got Game”, which is the most important part.

To our support staff and group of referees, you are appreciated! They are always professional and on point. I can’t ask for a better group of people to work with. Without there help and consistency, “BAAIHEARTHOOPS” and “Philly Got Game ” would be past tense. But for now we are still here and relevant. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for “Philly Got Game Sports”.
